4.1 Mounting the Trolling Motor

1. Roghnaigh Suíomh Gléasta: Select a flat, stable area on the bow of your boat. Ensure there is sufficient clearance for deploying and stowing the motor, and that the shaft can be fully submerged without hitting the boat hull.

The propeller should be submerged sufficiently to avoid cavitation but not so deep as to hit the bottom in shallow waters.

To deploy the motor, release the stow/deploy pedal or lever and gently lower the motor into the water. To stow, lift the motor out of the water and secure it in the stowed position using the pedal/lever and any locking mechanisms.
