- 1.3 Gallon (5 Liters) FinishX FC2000 Euro Clear Coat
- 1 Quart (0.946 Liters) FinishX FC2010 Fast Activator/Hardener
This kit provides a total volume of approximately 7.5 Liters (256.0 Fluid Ounces) of mixed product.
4. Setup and Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is critical for adhesion and durability of the clear coat.
- Dromchla Glan: Thoroughly clean the entire surface to be coated. Remove all dirt, grease, wax, and contaminants using a suitable automotive degreaser and cleaner.
- Ag cur: Lightly sand the base coat or existing finish with appropriate grit sandpaper (e.g., 800-1000 grit wet sanding) to create a mechanical bond for the clear coat. Ensure the surface is dull and free of gloss.
- Baint deannaigh: Remove all sanding dust with a tack cloth or compressed air. Ensure the surface is completely dry and dust-free before proceeding.
- Mascadh: Mask off any areas not intended for clear coat application to prevent overspray.

5. Operating Instructions (Mixing and Application)
5.1. Mixing
The FinishX FC2000 Clear Coat and FC2010 Fast Activator are designed for a 2:1 mixing ratio by volume.
- Cóimheas: Mix 2 parts FinishX FC2000 Euro Clear Coat with 1 part FinishX FC2010 Fast Activator.
- Thorough Mixing: Stir the mixture thoroughly for at least 2-3 minutes until a uniform consistency is achieved.
- Pot Life: The pot life of the mixed product is approximately 1-2 hours at 68°F (20°C). Prepare only the amount of product that can be used within this timeframe.

5.2. Iarratas
Apply the clear coat using a suitable spray gun.

- Flash Off Time: Allow 5-10 minutes flash off time between coats at 68°F (20°C). Adjust flash time based on temperature and humidity.
- Gun Cleaning: Clean your spray gun immediately after use with appropriate gun cleaner.
5.3. Drying Times (Fast Activator)
Drying times are approximate and depend on temperature, humidity, and film thickness.
- Dust Free: 15-20 minutes at 68°F (20°C).
- To Handle: 1.5-2 hours at 68°F (20°C).
- Full Cure: 24 hours at 68°F (20°C).
- Bake Time: 30 minutes at 140°F (60°C) for accelerated drying.
The Fast Activator is designed to accelerate the drying process while allowing adequate working time.

6. Cothabháil
To maintain the high-gloss finish and durability of your clear coat:
- Níochán: Wait at least 72 hours after full cure before washing the vehicle. Use a pH-neutral car wash soap and soft microfiber towels.
- Waxing/Sealing: After the clear coat has fully cured (typically 30 days), you may apply a high-quality wax or paint sealant for additional protection and gloss enhancement.
- Seachain Ceimiceáin Gharbh: Do not use abrasive cleaners, strong solvents, or harsh chemicals on the clear-coated surface.
- Cosaint UV: The clear coat contains UV inhibitors, but regular cleaning and protection will further extend its lifespan and appearance.
