2. Treoracha Sábháilteachta

Rabhaidh Sábháilteachta maidir le hUirlis Chumhachta Ginearálta:

  • Always wear eye protection and hearing protection when operating the jigsaw.
  • Coinnigh an limistéar oibre glan agus dea-lit. Tugann limistéir chlúdaigh nó dorcha cuireadh do thimpistí.
  • Ná hoibrigh uirlisí cumhachta in atmaisféir phléascacha, mar shampla leachtanna inadhainte, gáis nó deannaigh.
  • Coinnigh leanaí agus lucht féachana ar shiúl agus uirlis chumhachta á oibriú. Is féidir le seachráin tú smacht a chailleadh.
  • Ensure the power cord is not damaged and is kept away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
  • Díphlugáil an uirlis ón bhfoinse cumhachta i gcónaí sula ndéanann tú aon choigeartuithe, sula n-athraíonn tú gabhálais, nó sula stórálann tú an uirlis.
  • Slán an workpiece. Úsáid clampnó vise chun an píosa oibre a choinneáil go daingean.
  • Ná overreach. Coinnigh an bonn ceart agus cothromaíocht i gcónaí.
  • Bain úsáid as an uirlis cheart do d'fheidhmchlár. Ná cuir fórsa ar an uirlis.
  • Uirlisí a choinneáil go cúramach. Coinnigh uirlisí gearrtha géar agus glan.
  • Seiceáil le haghaidh mí-ailíniú nó ceangailteach páirteanna gluaisteacha, briseadh páirteanna, agus aon choinníoll eile a d'fhéadfadh cur isteach ar oibriú na huirlise.

Specific Jigsaw Safety Warnings:

  • Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
  • Úsáid clamps nó bealach praiticiúil eile chun an saotharphíosa a dhaingniú agus a thacú chuig ardán cobhsaí.
  • Cinntigh go bhfuil an lann géar agus oiriúnach don ábhar atá á ghearradh.
  • Do not touch the blade immediately after use, as it may be hot.

4. Socrú

4.1. Suiteáil an Lann Chonaic

  1. Cinntigh go bhfuil an meaisín sliotán díphlugáilte ón bhfoinse cumhachta.
  2. Locate the hex lock/Allen key for the blade clamp.
  3. Loosen the screw on the blade clamp ag baint úsáide as an eochair Allen.
  4. Cuir an lann chonaic isteach sa lann clamp leis na fiacla os comhair ar aghaidh.
  5. Ensure the back of the blade fits into the guide roller.
  6. Tighten the screw firmly to secure the blade. Do not overtighten.

4.2. Adjusting the Base Plate for Miter Cuts

The base plate can be angled up to 45° for miter cuts.

  1. Unplug the jigsaw.
  2. Loosen the screws that secure the base plate to the main body of the jigsaw.
  3. Tilt the base plate to the desired angle (up to 45° left or right). Use a protractor for accuracy if needed.
  4. Tighten the base plate screws securely.

5. Treoracha Oibriúcháin

5.1. Cumhacht Ar / As

  • To turn on the jigsaw, press the On/Off switch.
  • To turn off, release the On/Off switch.

5.2. Luas a Choigeartú

The electronic speed controller allows you to adjust the cutting speed based on the material and desired finish.

  • Rotate the speed control dial (Figure 3.4) to increase or decrease the blade strokes per minute.
  • Lower speeds are generally used for harder materials or for more precise cuts.
  • Higher speeds are suitable for softer materials and faster cutting.

Figure 5.1: Speed vs. Exact cutting.

This graphic illustrates the difference between high-speed cutting (for quick material removal) and exact cutting (for precision), which can be controlled by the electronic speed setting.

5.3. Using the Pendulum Function

The 4-position pendulum function controls the orbital action of the blade, affecting cutting speed and finish.

  • Position 0 (No Pendulum): For fine cuts, cutting thin materials, or cutting metal. The blade moves straight up and down.
  • Positions I, II, III (Increasing Pendulum): For faster cutting in wood and other soft materials. The blade moves in an elliptical motion, clearing chips more aggressively.
  • Adjust the pendulum selector lever to the desired position.

Figure 5.2: Pendulum function settings.

This graphic visually explains how the pendulum function alters the blade's movement, from a straight up-and-down motion to an orbital motion, for varying cutting speeds and finishes.

5.4. Eastóscadh Deannaigh

For a cleaner work environment, connect a dust extraction system to the dust extraction port.

  • Attach a suitable vacuum cleaner hose to the dust extraction port at the rear of the jigsaw.
  • Ensure the connection is secure before operating the tool.

6. Cothabháil

Cinntíonn cothabháil rialta fad saoil agus feidhmíocht is fearr do mheaisín mearaí.

6.1. Glanadh

  • Díphlugáil an uirlis i gcónaí roimh ghlanadh.
  • Glan na sliotáin aerála go rialta chun róthéamh a chosc.
  • Remove dust and debris from the blade area and base plate after each use.
  • Use a soft brush or compressed air for cleaning. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

6.2. Athsholáthar Lanna

Replace dull or damaged saw blades promptly to ensure efficient and safe cutting. Refer to Section 4.1 for blade installation steps.

6.3. Stóráil

  • Store the jigsaw in a dry, secure place out of reach of children.
  • Cinntigh go bhfuil an corda cumhachta fillte go néata agus nach bhfuil sé casta.
